It was the next major incarnation of the Juno-series, following the Juno-60. While it has virtually the same synth engine as the Juno-60, the 106 added extensive MIDI control making it one of Roland's first MIDI. Possibly the most popular vintage synth with EDM producers and electronic musicians worldwide, the Roland JUNO-106 became legendary for its unique combination of incredible Roland analog sound, simple and efficient interface, connectivity as one of the world's first MIDI instruments, and relative affordability.
Cherry Audio has released the DCO-106 softsynth for Mac and PC. The plug-in emulates the famed Roland Juno-106 with some additional features, including 330 presets, MPE support, 16-voice polyphony, reverb, and a flexible LFO for modulation. Best of all – it’s only $25 bucks.
Cherry claims the Juno-106 emulation is so authentic that users can even import Sysex data from the original hardware and transfer the data into the VSTi. We’re not exactly sure of how this is done precisely, but that’s interesting.
R-Piano is inspired by RSP73 pianos, a popular discontinued electric piano plugin.R-piano generates 127 different layers continuously, under a vintage overdrive. 8.is a bit different then most of the sample based plugins on this list. Best steinway vst.
What could possibly be really exciting is the MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) feature. We’re not sure how this is handled or what attributes are affected by the MPE implementation, but this is another dynamic feature that would modernize the this 25 year-old synth’s performance functionality.
Cherry also added waveforms to the LFO section for a total of six available, which can be beat-sync’d. There is also a new unison mode with detune for beefing up the sounds. A reverb at the end of the signal chain with three different algorithms is available. The demo patches on Cherry’s website are somewhat drowning in reverb, so it’s hard to tell precisely how they stand up on their own, but you can download a 30-Day trial and find out yourself.

Everybody loves the Roland Juno chorus, right? Then there’s one more reason to celebrate this Christmas. Arturia are offering their Chorus JUN-6 as a free gift until December 29th!
Juno 106 Vst Free
Chorus JUN-6 is modeled after the iconic analog stereo effect found in the Roland Juno series of analog polysynths from the ‘80s.
After all, the success of the Roland Juno synths was also due to the addition of two chorus types, which would spice up the one-oscillator-per-voice architecture.
Free antares autotune vst ableton download. Arturia recently released the V Collection 8, which features an emulation of the Roland Juno 6. It makes sense to see them taking the chorus out of it and releasing it a separate plugin, which will be part of their commercial plugin offering after this Christmas week.

Roland Juno 106 Free
FYI: Arturia is not the first company offering a free plugin that emulates the iconic Roland Juno chorus.
TAL, the maker of the classic TAL-U-NO-LX synth plugin, also has (since 2017) a free version of this chorus, named TAL-Chorus-LX. You can download the plugin here.
I haven’t compared the two yet, but I would expect the Arturia version to be more faithful to the original Roland Juno chorus simply because it’s a much newer plugin – usually (but not always) when it comes to algorithmic modeling newer also means more accurate. Anyway, they’re both free, so here’s your chance to put the two side by side and compare them!
